King & Queen of the Mountain Award
During the awards presentation during last seasons Year End Get Together we introduced two new awards to the Male and Female members who competed in all Blacksheep/TBCC series (XC, Enduro, Downhill, Road, TT, CX). Last year there were two individuals who competed in all BS/TBCC series and they were crowned the first King and Queen of the Mountain!
For this season we have developed a point system to track participation across all applicable series to help determine who the 2026 King and Queen are.
How to Qualify:
– Meet the minimum of 1 race/ride under each category. With the greater number races/rides participated in resulting in a higher overall point total
How to Win:
– Compile the greatest number of points throughout all of the BS/TBCC series
Prize:
– Both the King and Queen win a free Blacksheep Membership and free entry into all program add on’s for the following season (excluding WOW)

Race Starts: 7pm
Trowbridge (Kinsmen Park)
The year kicks off with our annual Mud’n’Mayham course which covers some of the quicker spring drying areas of the trail system. While most single track areas of the course will be decently dry be prepared to get a little muddy on some of the wetter double track sections!
Dash for the cash! Be the first person in your category (men and women separately) to reach the top of hydro hill and win cold hard cash. There will be a marshall at the top of hydro hill tracking racers 1-3 for each category and the winners will be announced during awards post race.
As the race takes place early in the riding season the fallback race date is May 27th. If the race course is still too muddy we will notify racers of the date change by May 18th.
Registration closes midnight May 19th

The Bailey Cup
As part of our 25th anniversary we created a race within a race, named after one of our founding members Eric Bailey. The name also pays homage to other founding members, his brothers Adam and Dylan. The Bailey Cup consists of two races (XC#3 & XC#7) raced over the same course. The racers with the fastest cumulative time between the two races will win the Bailey Cup!
This will be a fun opportunity for people to see how well they stack up against themselves and others as the season progresses.
The race heads out into Shuniah and then does multiple laps within Shuniah before heading back to the finish at Trowbridge. Elite will complete two inner loops. You must count your own laps, there will NOT be a lap countdown on course.
Registration closes midnight June 16th

In light of Canada Day falling on a Wednesday we have taken the opportunity to host XC #4 as a Short Track in the field at Trowbridge! Free ice cream and freezies will be available to snack on while you watch the action!
If you are not familiar with the Short Track discipline, the race takes place on a short course where riders complete multiple laps with either a set amount of time or set amount of laps dictating the end of the race. Races run as either a mass start or in waves depending on the amount of riders within each category.
We will be running our Short Track by category with larger categories having separate waves to limit the number of racers on the track at a single time.
Registration closes midnight June 30th

What is the Race For The Cheese, you might ask? – In past years the event has been a team based short track race in the field at trowbridge, where everyone brings a cheesy prize to exchange post race. Often with awards being given out to the participants with the best costumes!
However, this year we have decided to switch things up and run the Race For The Cheese as a fun (for all ages) team-based scavenger hunt starting from the field at Kinsmen Park/Trowbridge and stretching throughout the trail system.
How it will work:
– Participants will be sorted into groups of 6 based on age and skill level (mix of adults and youth)
– There will be 6-8 checkpoints located within the trail system that each team will need to check off by taking a selfie in front of each checkpoint. As teams will have a range of skill levels some checkpoints will be nice and close for Lamb’s and Mini Limb’s while others will be farther out in the trail system to add to the challenge
– Riders can break into groups to complete the checkpoints quicker but must stay in at least groups of 2 at all times
– The checkpoints will be (roughly) known with the general location being denoted on the map each team receives
– The first team to find all of the checkpoints and return back to the field will win the honour of choosing from the prize table first. Then so on and so forth for the runner up teams
There will also be prizes for the top three individuals that participate with the best costumes!
The event is free to all members with the exception of bringing a cheesy prize to exchange with another racer. As always there will be a table in the field to drop off your cheesy prize and see what others have brought!
Registration closes midnight July 14th
