Wednesday Night Race Series & Gravity Race Series

Race Series Breakdown

Here’s a peak ahead to this summer’s planned race series. Event details are subject to change. Be sure to check out the latest news post for the most up to date info.

Wednesday, May 21st

Racer Check In: 5:30 – 6:30pm

Race Starts: 7pm

The year kicks off with our annual Mud’n’Mayham course which covers some of the quicker spring drying areas of the trail system. While most single track areas of the course will be decently dry be prepared to get a little muddy on some of the wetter double track sections!

Dash for the cash! Be the first person in your category (men and women separately) to reach the top of hydro hill and win cold hard cash. There will be a marshall at the top of hydro hill tracking racers 1-3 for each category and the winners will be announced during awards post race.

As the race takes place early in the riding season the fallback race date is May 28th. If the race course is still too muddy we will notify racers of the date change by May 15th.

Registration closes midnight May 20th

Race Start: 7pm

The Bailey Cup

As part of our 25th anniversary we created a race within a race, named after one of our founding members Eric Bailey. The name also pays homage to other founding members, his brothers Adam and Dylan. The Bailey Cup consists of two races (XC#3 & XC#7) raced over the same course. The racers with the fastest cumulative time between the two races will win the Bailey Cup!

This will be a fun opportunity for people to see how well they stack up against themselves and others as the season progresses.

The race heads out into Shuniah and then does multiple laps within Shuniah before heading back to the finish at Trowbridge. Elite will complete two inner loops. You must count your own laps, there will NOT be a lap countdown on course.

Registration closes midnight June 17th

Race Start: 7pm

As we enter the heart of the summer we transition from a multi-lap race course structure to a couple single lap races starting with The Tour De Shuniah! Which is a one lap race that covers a wide variety of our trail system from fast flowy trails to more challenging technical trails. The course is a great way to experience racing on some of our trail systems’ less raced areas!

Registration closes at midnight on Tuesday July 22nd!

Wednesday, Sept 10th **Rescheduled date from mid summer**

Racer Check In: 5:00 – 6:15pm

Race Start: 6:30pm

Location: Centennial Park Cabins

If you are not familiar with the Short Track discipline, the race takes place on a short course where riders complete multiple laps with either a set amount of time or set amount of laps dictating the end of the race. Races run as either a mass start or in waves depending on the amount of riders within each category.

We will be running our Short Track by category with larger categories having separate waves to limit the number of racers on the track at a single time. As the Short Track course is harder to create in Trailforks please see the graphic below for a breakdown of the course.

Registration closes midnight Sept 9th

Saturday, September 6th

Racer Check In: 9:00 – 9:45am

Race Start: See Schedule below

With the 2025 XCM/Shuniah Forty Miner taking place during August this year we are excited to run a fall round up festival! We will be running a point to point time trial race along with a BBQ and optional hill climb race after the bbq similar to the old hill climb races at Mount McKay!

The schedule for the day will be a little different than normal races as we will have three different starting locations for Elite/Adv/Sport, Lamb, and Mini Lamb. The pre-race meeting will be at 9:45am in the field at Trowbridge then Elite/Adv/Sport riders will have the option of either riding as a group to the Balsam parking lot prior to the 10:30am start or riding around on their own (safley) to the Balsam parking at lot or being dropped off. As the race is an individual time trial we will be ordering riders based on speed so not all riders will need to be at the start for 10:30am.

Schedule
Racer Check in Closes: 9:45am
Pre-race Meeting at Trowbridge: 9:45am
Riders head to Balsam Parking Lot: 10:00am
First Racer Elite/Adv/Sport Starts: 10:30am from Balsam
First Lamb Start from Yellow Trail: 10:15am
First Mini Lamb Start from Trowbridge: 10:05am

Starting Locations:
Elite/Adv/Sport – Balsam Parking Lot
Lamb – Yellow Trail just down from Bridge
