Trail Maintenance Worker

Join our Dirt Crew! We are looking for a hardworking, outdoorsy individual to help keep our local trail network in prime riding condition. If you love the smell of fresh forest air and don’t mind getting your hands dirty to build the perfect berm, we want to hear from you.

Role Overview

  • Pay: $17.60/hour
  • Duration: 16 Weeks (Seasonal)
  • Hours: 20 hours/week
  • Reporting to: Trail Committee

Key Responsibilities

Working under the guidance of our Trail Committee, you will perform essential labor to ensure trail safety and flow:

  • Clearance: Use leaf blowers and rakes to keep corridors clear of debris
  • Water Management: Dig and maintain drainage ditches to prevent erosion
  • Trail Repair: Fix “blown out” sections, fill ruts, and stabilize wet spots
  • General Upkeep: Pruning overgrowth and assisting with boardwalk or feature repairs as needed

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions and uneven terrain
  • Comfortable using hand tools (shovels, rakes, pulaskis) and power tools (leaf blowers)
  • A passion for mountain biking

Special Events & Social Media Coordinator

Be the Voice of the Club! We are seeking a high-energy, organized individual to help grow our community. You’ll be the bridge between our trails and our members, ensuring our races run smoothly and our digital presence is as fast as our downhill segments.

Role Overview

  • Pay: $17.60/hour
  • Duration: 16 Weeks (Seasonal)
  • Hours: 20 hours/week
  • Reporting to: Race Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Planning: Assist in the logistics, setup, and teardown of club races, group rides, and community events
  • Social Media Management: Create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms
  • Live Coverage: Attend club activities to capture real-time photos and videos for stories and posts
  • Member Engagement: Respond to inquiries online and help promote upcoming club initiatives to boost participation

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication skills and a people-person personality
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and basic mobile photography/video editing
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during scheduled race dates
