Frozen 4 Relay

The Frozen 4 is a Fat Bike Race and Group Ride all rolled into one. The event is less about speed and racing, and more about conquering the cold and riding/hanging out with fellow riders. The event takes place over a 4 hour time frame on a 4-5km loop course which starts and finishes at the Centennial Park Chalet.  The object is NOT to finish the course first, but to complete the greatest number of laps before the end of the event either solo or as part of a relay team.  This means you are never last and always riding with different people.

The Course:
TBD – Will be designed around trail conditions closer to the event.

Categories: 

• Solo – A personal challenge for one rider to complete as many laps as possibly in 4hrs
• 2-4 Person Relay Team (Mixed) – Riders alternate laps, tag team style, to complete as many laps as possible in 4hrs. Each Rider must complete at least one lap.
• 2-4 Person Relay Team (All Male) – Same as above but all team members must be male
• 2 -4 Person Relay Team (All Female) – Same as above but all team members must be female

Rules:

• Teams with the most laps completed after 4hrs win.  If teams have the same number of laps then whoever completed their last lap first wins.
• Laps completed after 3:00pm(4hr cutoff) will not count even if started before the cut-off
• Only one team member can be officially on a lap at a time, but parents or teammates may ride together for encouragement or fun if they wish.
• Each team(solo included) will have a individual plate number.  So everyone on the same team has an unique number. Please confirm this prior to start of race.
• Riders will be required to slow down and pass in a safe manner.
• Headphones are prohibited on the course for safety reasons
• FUN is the #1 priority

Cost is $20.00 for Blacksheep Members and $30.00 for non Members. Please make sure to enter your team name if part of a team.
