A project the Blacksheep Board of Directors wanted to begin in 2021 was to write a strategic plan to guide the club as we move forward. We decided that the 2022 to 2024 time frame made the most sense.
We put out a request for quotes for the project and the bid we decided to take was from Compass Management Consultants. We had many working sessions with the entire board as well as smaller groups when it made sense. Working with a management company allowed us to have discussions on the board level and to have Compass synthesize it into a useable plan.
Deciding the path forward for the club is always difficult with so many directions we are able to go. We had lots of different perspectives present during these discussions that lead to many disagreements along the way. We’re confident we have a plan that will make Thunder Bay a notable mountain biking community.
