XC#4 is coming up quick! Here’s the skinny.
GENERAL INFO:
XC3 was a big success – despite the rainy forecast. Let’s try again to crack 150 riders!
After a few races focussing on power, speed, and climbing, we are shifting gears to a technical course featuring some of our more technical trails. It’s mid-summer and everyone has been riding a bunch, so we are holding a slightly longer race this week since the next 2 events are short and fast (TT and short track)
Make sure you head out for a pre-ride before race day to
Mass start by category as usual, starting at Kinsmen Park.
COVID REMINDER:
Now that we are into Phase 3, masks are no longer required outdoors. 2m distancing is still required at all times so we will continue to use a grid of cones for the pre-race talk as well as the start.
REGISTRATION:
Registration is now live on webscorer.com. Registration closes on WEDNESDAY at 5:00PM. We are experimenting with a later cut-off to prevent so many day-of registrations at the table.

Courses will be flagged and signed on Tuesday evening.
It is the racers responsibility to know their course.

SCHEDULE:
5:45-6:45 – Plate pick up (if needed) and racer check-in. You are required to check-in even if you have a number plate already. (at Kinsmen Park – in the lower field) *Advanced riders that got an orange plate last race should swap it in for a new plate.
6:30 – Optional Lambateur pre-ride
6:50 – Mandatory race briefing – all riders
7:00 – START. We will announce exact start order on race day.
OTHER:
We need a few volunteers to make this event happen. A couple course marshals and a couple at the start/finish area. Please email racing@blacksheepmtb.com if you can help or let us know at the registration desk on race day.
